‘Race 3’ box office report: Salman Khan’s Eid offering beats ‘Baaghi 2’ to become highest opener, mints Rs 29.17 crore

Salman khan starrer Race 3 was expected to make Rs. 30 crores on its opening day, and it has achieved it! The blockbuster has conquered the box office on its very first day and earned Rs. 29.17 crore.

This is said to be the highest opening for any Hindi film this year.

The film which released on June 15 has enchanted the audience already and has received an exuberant response from them, even though reviews about the film are not that great.

According to trade analysts, Race 3 was expected to make it big because it is an Eid offering, which has none other than Bhaijaan Salman Khan in the lead. For the audience and fans celebrating the festival or not, Salman’s films have always been a treat.

Race 3, the third installment in the Race franchise has always had an over-whelming buzz around it as it has Bollywood big shots, including Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol and others. The film is directed by Remo D’souza, and has an air which is nothing but snazzy.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the numbers are going to soar as Eid festivities kick in. He took to Twitter and said, “#Race3 records a GIGANTIC START, despite pre-Eid making a dent in its business… Emerges the BIGGEST OPENER of 2018 [so far]… Fri ₹ 29.17 cr. India biz… With #Eid festivities commencing today [Sat], #Race3 is expected to post MASSIVE NUMBERS.”
