Rajasthan polls: Sachin Pilot upstages BJP’s Yoonus Khan to claim Tonk seat with margin of 54,179 votes

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Sachin Pilot has claimed the Tonk assembly constituency on Tuesday with a comprehensive win over BJP’s Yoonus Khan. Khan, the only Muslim candidate of the saffron party is also the state and Transport Minister. Pilot, who contested his first assembly elections defeated Khan with a hefty margin of 54,179 votes. The 41-year-old had earlier discussed the Congress leadership and the party’s government formation in Rajasthan. Along with Pilot, senior leader Ashok Gehlot continued Congress’ revival in Rajasthan as the former Chief Minister emerged victorious from Sardarpura constituency.
