Rajasthan Royals coach Rahul Dravid inspects pitch on wheelchair ahead of IPL 2025 game

Rajasthan Royals coach Rahul Dravid displayed his dedication to his job ahead of the team’s Indian Premier League clash against the Chennai Super Kings inspecting the pitch at Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium on his wheelchair. Dravid’s Rajasthan Royals side went on to win the IPL 2025 game against CSK six runs on Sunday. But Dravid’s act made jaws drop, especially of former cricketers-turned-analysts like Ambati Rayudu and Sanjay Manjrekar.
The former India cricketer is currently recuperating from a leg injury that he suffered during an appearance in a local match in Bengaluru before the IPL 2025 started.
As the official broadcaster showed the clip of the Indian cricket legend rolling the 22-yard strip, former cricketers Ambati Rayudu and Sanjay Manjrekar were stunned. Both were doing commentary duties in the pre-match show on JioHotstar when the clip was played.

“I live in a bubble. I didn’t know that he (Dravid) was injured. What happened to him, do you know that? What leg injury? CFL, AFL, something like that which happens, right Ambati? In the knee, or ACL probably,” asked Manjrekar.
Rayudu quipped, “My attention is going to the wheelchair. Is he allowed on the square?”
“The way Ambati’s brain works, very few are like that. That’s why his batting was different. This is Rahul Dravid. If he has given his commitment, he will do it whatever happens, because he is a very good friend of mine and you won’t find a better person than him,” concluded Manjrekar.
