Gautami Kapoor admits she thought of gifting s** toy to daughter when she turned 16: ‘Mom, have you lost it’ | Bollywood News

Talking about intimacy and making children aware of the subject can be a daunting task for many parents, especially given the taboo surrounding the topic. But being a hands-on mom, TV actor Gautami Kapoor discussed the subject unabashedly with her and husband Ram Kapoor’s daughter, Sia Kapoor, when she turned 16. In a recent interaction, Gautami Kapoor also recalled her willingness to buy a s** toy for her 16-year-old to help her make informed choices.
Talking about how she approached her daughter with the subject of intimacy and self-exploration, she said, “It’s so funny that when my daughter turned 16, I was thinking of what to gift her and I thought if I should gift her a sex toy or a vibrator. I asked my daughter about it and she said, ‘Mom have you lost it, are you retarded or crazy.’ I told her, ‘Think about it. How many mothers would be willing to talk to their daughters about gifting something like this? Why don’t you experiment.’”
Explaining her mindset on the same, Gautami said, “What my mom didn’t do with me, I don’t not want to do that with my daughter. I want her to experience everything. A lot of women go through life without experiencing its pleasures. Why be in that situation? Today, my daughter is 19 and she appreciates the fact that I at least had that thought.”

Recently, Ram Kapoor made headlines for his drastic weight loss, with many alleging that he used Ozempic to achieve the transformation. In an earlier conversation with , Gautami had shared that it was their daughter, Sia — who had herself struggled with weight issues — who inspired Ram to shed the extra kilos. 

“People don’t see the tough side of it; they only see the end result. I am proud of him for doing it. He’s gone through a lot mentally, emotionally, physically. Our daughter Sia also lost a lot of weight. In fact, she started her fitness journey before Ram, and I think somewhere she inspired him to kickstart his,” Gautami said.
Gautami Kapoor and Ram Kapoor tied the knot in 2003. they started dating after meeting on the sets of the television show Ghar Ek Mandir. They are parents to a daughter, Sia, and a son named Aks Kapoor.
