On late legendary actor Rishi Kapoor‘s 73rd birth anniversary, his wife, actor Neetu Kapoor paid a tribute to him with a special post. She dropped an old video of him from a 2017 event in Dubai. In the clip, his son-actor Ranbir Kapoor was also seen praising his father. His daughter-in-law, actor Alia Bhatt also reshared the post on Instagram to remember him.
In the video, Rishi was seen sharing anecdotes at a live show titled Khullam Khulla – Live with Rishi Kapoor on March 31, 2017, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. It was about his life – Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored. Neetu was also seen laughing while he spoke. While sharing the post, she wrote, “You will always remain in our hearts (pink heart emoji) happy birthday (flower emoji).” Reacting to the post, Sanjay Kapoor said, “Happy birthday, Chintu. You will always be missed. So fortunate to work with you in luck chance.”

The event had several guests, including Ranbir, who applauded Rishi and said, “A man who has been in the film industry for 40 years now, all the anecdotes and experiences to share it with such a large audience, I think it’s a wonderful idea.” His brother and actor Randhir Kapoor mentioned, “The show that he did today was simply superb.” Filmmaker Subhash Ghai said, “He really talked khullam khulla, I would say.” Under the post, Alia, Urmila Matondkar and Sadia Khateeb dropped red heart emoticons in the comments section.

The Jigra actor reshared Neetu’s post on her Instagram Stories, and wrote, “Always and forever. Miss you. Happy Birthday.” Ranbir’s ser Ridhima Kapoor Sahni also shared an old family picture on her Instagram Story and wrote the caption, “We celebrate you everyday papa. You are loved, missed and remembered – always. Happy Birthday. Love you.”

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor tied the knot in 1980. They have two children – daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and son Ranbir Kapoor. Rishi passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67. He was suffering from leukaemia and was getting treated in New York for a long time.
