People said Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was full of attitude and had ego, recalls Taal co-star: ‘She is nothing like it, very simple’ | Bollywood News

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan became the most sought after actress post her Miss World win in 1994. In 1997 she made her debut as the leading lady in the Tamil film Iruvar, followed a Hindi film in the same year, Aur Pyaar Hogaya. She then starred in Aa Ab Laut Chalen, and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999. In the same year, she was also seen in the Subhash Ghai directorial, Taal, which worked wonders at the box office.
At the time when she appeared for the shoot of the film, there was speculation that Aishwarya was full of attitude, had ego due to her Miss World title. Actress Jividha Sharma, who too was part of the film (her debut Bollywood film) went with the same notion, but she was proved wrong after meeting with Aishwarya. The actress, in a recent interview, talked about her experience of working with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and called her a “very simple and good girl.”
In an interview with Lallantop, Jividha shared, “People had said that she has attitude because of the Miss World title and all that. So I too went with the same notion about her, but she was nothing like it. She is very simple, good girl. She is extremely hard working.”

Jividha shared that Aishwarya was exceptionally professional and a wonderful arte. “We mostly discussed our scenes together. It was very rare when we spoke anything about our personal life. Sometimes she would check on my mother as she would accompany me on sets. Even she used to be with her mother on set.” The two spent quite a lot of time together as they had many scenes together. “A lot of our scenes together was chopped out because of the length of the film”, said Jividha.
Speaking about Aishwarya’s dedication for her work, Jividha shared, “Despite her title and all that, and the fact that she was trained in Kathak. She would redo dance steps until she perfected them. She wouldn’t give up. That was a great thing about her. I learnt this from her. I genuinely liked her. I wanted to be like her.”
After Taal, Jividha made her debut in Bollywood as a leading star. She featured in Kuku Kohli’s 2002 film Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa. The film became a major hit at the box office and earned nearly Rs 9 crore. Later, Jividha appeared in Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi films including Mini Punjab, The Lion of Punjab, Dil Sada Luteya Gaya.Story continues below this ad
In 2016, she played the role of Rami in the Hrithik Roshan-Pooja Hegde starrer Mohenjo Daro.
