President Joe Biden and Ke Huy Quan had a hilarious encounter during a meeting at the White House that the POTUS shared on social media. In a tweet shared today, the president shared a video excerpt of their meeting, with the caption “Little did Ke know he was dealing with a selfie expert.”

In the video, Quan introduces himself and his wife, Echo, to Biden. After a brief exchange, Quan expresses his love for selfies and asks Biden if he is ready for “the selfie of all selfies.” The clip then cuts to the two of them posing for the photo.

The video was recorded on Monday during the celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. It was attended around 200 guests, including Quan, who stars in the upcoming television series “American Born Chinese.” The series is based on a graphic novel of the same name and tells the story of an immigrant family with an American son who becomes involved in a battle between Chinese gods.After gaining fame from his roles in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and “The Goonies,” Quan took a break from acting due to the lack of opportunities for Asian actors. Recently, he made hory winning an Oscar for his supporting role in “Everything Everywhere All At Once.”During his remarks at the event, Biden emphasized the importance of diversity and inclusivity in American society. He spoke about the courage it takes to start a journey in a new country and continue traditions, and he emphasized the need to tell all of our stories.Quan, a Vietnamese refugee, became emotional reflecting on reuniting with his family and calling America his home during an event in the White House.”The day I arrived in America was one of the happiest days of my life because that was the day I reunited with my family, and America became my home,” said Quan. “So it is with profound humility and gratitude that I stand before you tonight.”
