Hearing on September 27 in fake voter case
At the same time, the Supreme Court will hear on September 27 the hearing of PCC Chief Kamal Nath in the case of fake voters. Kamal Nath talked of having a large number of fake voters in the state’s voter list. On Kamal Nath’s petition, the Election Commission had filed its reply in the Supreme Court. In its affidavit, the Election Commission had said that it is not bound to conduct elections in the country according to the methods given by the Congress and its leaders.

The Commission had also said that the Congress should not issue guidelines for conducting elections in a particular manner, because the Election Commission already has elections under the legal provisions. The commission also says that the Congress petition is baseless and hence the Supreme Court dismisses Kamal Nath’s petition.
