Russia declares ceasefire in Ukraine, asks troops to ‘stay on high alert just in case’ | World News

In a surprising tw to the ongoing war, Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for a unilateral Easter ceasefire, ordering Moscow forces to halt hostilities from Saturday evening through Sunday.
The Kremlin said it “assumes” Ukraine will follow suit — though troops have been told to stay on high alert just in case Kyiv doesn’t get the memo.
