Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 Standings: India A, led Jitesh Sharma, suffered a stunning defeat at the hands of a young Pakan Shaheens team in their ACC Rising Stars 2025 group stage clash in Doha on Sunday.
In a highly-charged contest, Pakan emerged victorious chasing a 137-run target and there qualifies for the semi-finals of the tournament.
Despite obliterating UAE in their opening game on the back of a spellbinding 42-ball 144 from Vaibhav Suryavanshi, India A are in the danger of not making it to the semi-finals.

When Suryavanshi and Naman Dhir were in the middle, India A appeared to be heading to another big score, even if not at the rate they were against UAE a couple of days back. But after Naman fell in the 9th over and Vaibhav followed him in the 10th, India A went from 91/2 to 136 all out against Pakan A in the Rising Stars Asia Cup tournament in Doha. That collapse proved decisive as Pakan A cruised past the finish line in just 13.2 overs, riding on an unbeaten 79 from left-handed opener Maaz Sadaqat, who had also picked up a couple of wickets earlier. India’s pacers couldn’t cause early dents in the defence, leaking boundaries and extras as Jitesh Sharma-led India suffered a heavy defeat.
How can India A qualify for Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 semi-final?
India A will now face a do-or-die scenario on Tuesday when they take on Oman who are also level on 2 points behind Pakan. The winner of this contest will qualify for Friday’s semi-finals alongside Pakan and stand a chance to proceed to the final on Sunday.
