Russo Brothers express their desire to visit India: ‘We’ll be back for Avengers’ | Hollywood News

The prolific director duo that revolutionised the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Russo Brothers, have shared their love for India and how they are planning to come back for the promotion of the upcoming Avengers movies.
In a conversation with India Today, the duo responsible for Captain America: Civil War, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Infinity War, shared how much they love India and their desire to visit the country while promoting the upcoming films in the MCU. “We absolutely love India. I miss the food in India very much. I was really hoping that we would come back there to promote The Electric State. It didn’t work out,” said Anthony Russo.
“We’ll be back for Avengers, I promise. We’ll be back in Mumbai for Avengers,” said Joe Russo.

Joe and Anthony Russo are currently working on the next two installments in the Avengers franchise, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Both films have generated immense buzz since the announcement of Robert Downey Jr. playing the cunning villain Dr. Doom. The movies are scheduled to release in 2026 and 2027, respectively.

The Russo Brothers’ upcoming Netflix film, The Electric State, is coming out March 14. The film features Chris Pratt, Millie Bob Brown, Ke Huy Quan, and Woody Harrelson. The brothers shared an interesting anecdote that highlighted a surprising connection between Millie and the Avengers. They shared the story of how they first met the Stranger Things actor on the sets of an Avengers film.
Anthony Russo said, “I love Stranger Things Season 1. I binge-watched it all in one weekend with my daughter, and we both loved it. And my daughter was actually Millie’s age at the time. So I reached out to the Duffer brothers to come visit them on set while they were shooting Stranger Things Season 2, where my daughter and I ended up meeting Millie.”
