Saif Ali Khan says ‘it wasn’t my time to go’ on knife attack, admits he ‘hates’ being surrounded security: ‘I’m meant to do more films’ | Bollywood News

The knife attack on Saif Ali Khan at his home in Mumbai in January jolted the entire nation. The actor went through two surgeries. After the attack, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan heightened their security and also asked the paparazzi not to click their sons – Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan. Now, in a recent interaction, Saif opened up about surviving the attack and how he now walks with security that he isn’t used to.
Speaking to ETimes, Saif opened up about the traumatic experience and how it taught him to be careful about locking doors and windows of his house. The Love Aaj Kal actor insed that everyone should ‘smarten their security.’ “We have a lot, and a lot do not. So while I am grateful, we, we must understand that and be careful,” he said.
The actor, however, insed that though he is very particular about his and his family’s security after the attack, he had never ‘believed in security’ before and ‘hate having people around’ him. But Saif also admitted that he needs to be surrounded security guards for a while, at least.

The actor also shared that he finds himself lucky to have survived the brutal attack and admitted that ‘it wasn’t his time to go.’ “Maybe I’m meant to do a few more good films… have some more nice times with family and friends. Do some more charity,” he said.

Saif recently bought a holiday home in Doha, Qatar. In an interaction with the media, the actor called the house ‘safe’ and ‘secluded.’ He said, “One is that it’s not very far away and it’s easily accessible. And then the other thing is, the most important thing is that it’s very safe and it feels very good to be there.” He added, “The main thing really is that it’s peaceful and secluded.”
Saif was allegedly stabbed Shariful Islam, who was arrested the police after the alleged robbery attempt. After the attack, a piece of the knife was extracted from the actor’s spine, along with other injuries that he suffered. On the work front, the actor will next be seen in The Jewel Thief, which will release on Netflix.
