Salman Khan shot for Sikandar song sequence a day after rib injury: ‘I couldn’t sit, stand, cough or even laugh…’ | Bollywood News

Back in September, Salman Khan revealed at a Bigg Boss event that he had fractured two ribs during the shoot of Sikandar. Now, the actor has shared how, despite the injury, he went ahead with filming a song sequence for Sikandar. Interestingly, a moment where he held his ribs in pain ended up being incorporated as a dance step in the AR Murugadoss directorial, which releases on March 30.
On Thursday, Salman shared a video featuring a conversation with Sikandar director AR Murugadoss and actor Aamir Khan. The video captures the three engaged in a lighthearted banter. At the beginning, Aamir playfully puts Murugadoss on the spot asking him some tough questions like “Who is better dancer? Me or Salman?”, “Who is better at action? Me or Salman?”
Murugadoss remained silent, smiling in response. However, Salman quipped, “It should be me; I danced despite my injuries,” to which the filmmaker readily agreed. The Sikandar director added, “He broke his ribs.”

Later, Salman Khan shared, “There are four songs in the film. In one of the songs, I broke my ribs, and shot for it the next day. I couldn’t sit, stand, cough or even laugh. In one of the steps, I am holding my ribs, we made that as a step. All the dancers then followed the same step.”
Salman Khan also spoke about his rib injury during the trailer launch of Sikandar held on March 23. Salman shared that director AR Murugadoss constantly pushed him, especially in action sequences, to bring out his best. The actor also revealed that he worked 14-hour shifts despite his injury. Addressing his rib injury, Salman remarked, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”
