Who is Atul Agnihotri?
Atul Agnihotri is a notable figure in Hindi cinema—first as an actor, then director, and, most successfully, as a producer. As an actor, Atul made his debut in 1993. He rose to fame with Mahesh Bhatt’s Sir, co‑starring Naseeruddin Shah and Pooja Bhatt. Other films like Aatish and Krantiveer (both 1994), and the popular Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002) also saw him as an actor.

He made his directorial debut with Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa (2004), starring Salman Khan. Later helmed Hello (2008). As a producer, Atul Agnihotri found major success after producing Salman Khan hits such as Bodyguard (2011) and Bharat (2019).
Atul Agnihotri is married to Salim Khan’s daughter Alvira Khan, which makes him Salman, Arbaaz, and Sohail Khan’s brother-in-law. He is the father of two children: Ayaan and Alizeh.

Atul and Alvira’s son Ayaan Agnihotri, also known his stage name Agni, is a multi-talented art in music. In February this year, he launched an English track blending rap, singing, and composition, and Salman Khan was seen supporting the event. At the Dubai launch event, Salman himself lightheartedly acknowledged nepotism while promoting Ayaan.
On the other hand, Salman has also been very supportive for Alizeh. While she made her acting debut as a child, in Hello (2008), directed her father, she played the lead role in the 2023 film Farrey, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
