Sanju Samson reveals: ‘Yashasvi Jaiswal had to be pulled out of nets for 3-4 years… support staff were getting injured’ | Cricket News

Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson would reveal that support staff who had thrown balls to Yashasvi Jaiswal during practice sessions of the franchise during the Indian Premier League seasons had dislocated their shoulders and were sent to the hospital. “Staff gets injured Jaiswal” Samson takes a cheeky jibe at his IPL teammate.
When asked who is the player who would spend most time in nets “That has to be Jaiswal” Samson would reply in a flash speaking on Star Sports. “Jaiswal has to be pulled out of nets for the last 3-4 years.” The RR skipper would recall.
“We have four Sardar ji’s in our practice camp. One is called Cut, Pull, Flick, and Drive. The guy called “Cut” only balls and cut balls to practice the guy called Pull only bowls pull to practice. So same for the other guys. They dislocated their shoulders because of Jaiswal last season. They were in the hospital and they made a comeback. I think instead of players, the staff gets injured because of Jaiswal.
I always want to stand out
Speaking about his own Samson would reveal he wanted to stand out as a batter “I always wanted to stand out with the way I bat… create my style. No matter if it’s the first ball, I wanted to go out there and hit a six. That was the shift in the mindset. I wanted to do something different. Why do we have to wait for ten balls to hit a six? That was the motive behind the development of my power-hitting.”
“I put in a lot of effort during Covid times, a lot of people helped me. I’m very happy, things are coming on nicely. The grind keeps on going, I’m never satisfied. I just want to go on and keep doing something spectacular for the side that I play for,” Samson further added.
