‘Scandal, scandal’: Watch Jose Mourinho’s latest tirade against Turkish league and officials | Football News
Fenerbahce coach Jose Mourinho slammed the referees in the Turkish league again, saying that it was toxic. This was in relation to league leaders Galatasaray’s recent controversial win against Goztepe in the weekend with the 5th placed team asking the Turkish Football Federation to ‘adopt a foreign referee system in the Turkish Super Lig.’
“In terms of the feeling of something that is toxic, we feel (it), obviously, we feel. After 25 years as a coach and 35 in football, 10 as an assant, I’ve never seen anything like this. It has a dimension that goes above anything that can be understandable. I don’t think this is a situation that a single club, fighting, is going to destroy a system that is very strong and that is in place,” Mourinho said after his side’s 2-1 win against Hatayspor.
“This is the league where I work, it’s going to be my league hopefully for two years minimum. But this is your league. This is the league of every kid that loves football, that dreams of being a football player. If you are happy with this status quo, then be happy. I don’t think it’s something that a club individually can resolve,” he added.
“I never saw anything like this before, it’s a scandal” 💬

He would kick off the tirade, saying that every one was aware of the scandal.
“Everybody was saying the same thing, scandal, scandal. I learned a new word. I think some of you like it. Even the winners like it, which is the worst thing of all. Because to win at any cost and to win in this way is the worst thing,” Mourinho said.
Last year, Mourinho was fined and banned for one match due to his outburst against the Turkish League and VAR officials.
In typical Mourinho style, he had termed the Turkish league as one that “smells bad” and questioned why any international fans would watch it. He also said he wouldn’t have taken the job if club officials had told him “the whole truth” about how the league allegedly works.
