Shah Rukh Khan creates hory as first Indian male actor to walk Met Gala carpet; keeps it classic in an all-black look and ‘K’ pendant | Fashion News

The moment is finally here — Shah Rukh Khan just made his Met Gala debut. The actor made hory in an all-black suit comprising high-waed trousers, a black shirt, and a tailcoat designer Saasachi Mukherjee.
Adding a touch of bling to his look, Shah Rukh wore layered jewellery — among which was an oversized ‘K pendant — a possible reference to being ‘King Khan’. He was also seen carrying a dandy cane with a tiger scepter, and wore a pair of sunglasses on the red carpet.

Last year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced that the Costume Institute’s spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” will be on display from May 10 to October 26, 2025. In line with the theme, this year’s dress code, “Tailored for You,” is a nod to Dandyism – a stereotype-bending menswear style and code of conduct prevalent in Black culture during the 18th and 19th centuries, defined tailored outfits and elegant and refined silhouettes.
But not the actor, even the ace designer walked the blue carpet — made in Kerala for the third time — in a custom look. Saasachi was seen in a white shirt, layered with a trench coat and an overcoat with a trail. He paired the same with black high-waed trousers and shiny black shoes. Keeping it simple, he accessorised his look with a choker and wore multiple rings. To complete his well-tailored look, Saasachi opted for a headgear. This is the second time he has walked the carpet on ‘fashion’s biggest night.’
