Shalini Passi remembers family friend Sunjay Kapur after his sudden demise: ‘He was full of life…’ | Bollywood News

Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives fame Shalini Passi has reacted to  the sudden demise of her close friend Sunjay Kapur. The late businessman, who was actor Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, passed away due to a heart attack while playing polo. In a recent interview, Shalini shared that Sunday was “full of life” and “somebody a lot of people looked up to as a role model”.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Shalini mourned the loss and recalled their time together. “The news of Sunjay’s death is sad and shocking. It makes us realise the frivolity of our life and everything that we take so seriously… In a moment everything is gone,” she said.
Shalini Passi also revealed that she would often meet Sunjay Kapur and his wife Priya Sachdev whenever they came to Delhi. “Sunjay’s family and our family are close friends…. I have known him and his family since I got married. He was somebody who was full of life. He was very enthusiastic about things he did, whether it was his business or playing polo…. He was somebody a lot of people looked up to as a role model,” she said.

“I would frequently meet him and his family in Delhi. He was always with his wife (Priya) whenever I met him. My heartfelt condolences to them. Sunjay and Priya congratulated me on the success of Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. They were happy to see me holding up for Delhi in the series. Both of them were delighted it and were happy for me. And that’s what they had expressed to me,” Shalini added.
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut also took to her Instagram handle and called Sunjay Kapur’s death ‘tragic’ and an ‘unbelievable event’. The actor wrote on her Instagram Stories, “In another unbelievable event, Sunjay Kapur (Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband) was on the polo ground, a bee went into his mouth (yes madhumakki on the polo ground) stung him and blocked his windpipe, he couldn’t breathe so he asked the game to be stopped but immediately died of a cardiac arrest. Such tragic news.”

Sunjay Kapur was in the UK for a polo tournament. He reportedly suffered a heart attack after swallowing a bee.
