Shivam Dube, wife Anjum announce birth of their second child | Cricket News
India and Chennai Super Kings allrounder Shivam Dube on Saturday announced that he had become the father of a ba girl. Dube and wife Anjum Khan already have a son named Ayaan who was born in 2022.
“03.01.2025 It’s a girl! Our hearts just grew bigger as we became a family of 4. Welcome Mehwish Shivam Dube,” the player posted on Instagram.
Dube had tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Anjum in a private wedding ceremony in Mumbai in 2021. “We loved with a love which was more than love … And now this is where our forever starts. Just Married … 16-07-2021,” Dube had written back then.
Dube made his India debut in November 2019 and was recently part of India’s 2024 T20 World Cup triumph with his 27 off 16 knock in the final against South Africa helping India post 176 which went a long way in the Men in Blue’s triumph.
He also won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last year scoring 151 runs with 71 of those coming against Services.
He was also retained Chennai Super Kings for Rs 12 crore for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. He was among the 5 players retained the franchise alongside names like MS Dhoni, Ravinda Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Matheesha Pathirana.
Since joining CSK in 2022, Dube has been the franchise’s trump card with the bat, one who tactically opened up situations like nobody else. Having batted out of position at Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals, Chennai have used him at No 4 & 5 to take down spinners. For a batsman who had 22 sixes in his first three seasons, he hit 16 & 35 in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
