Shivraj Singh Chouhan: Who is real CM, Kamal Nath or Digvijaya?
BARWANI: Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday took a dig at Congress leadership saying that people in the state were confused who ‘real’ chief minister was.
“ A question is asked to Kamal Nath and answer comes from Digvijay Singh. Now, it is a big confusion, who is real chief minister of state? Is it Kamal Nath or Digvijay Singh?” Chouhan said while addressing BJP workers in Jalwaniya. He said that Digvijay had taken entire administration into his hands and now the government was acting in a strange way.
Talking about close fight the party gave to Congress in assembly polls, Chouhan said that at many places they were defeated by very small margin and they too could have formed ‘an incomplete and lame government’ but did not. “Being Atalji’s followers, we did not opt for horse trading. Whenever the BJP will form government, it will do so with full majority,” he said.
The former CM later went to Balwadi to pay tributes to party’s mandal president Manoj Thackeray, who was murdered a few days back. Speaking at the condolence meeting, he said that Congress leaders were giving childish and shameful statements and they should rather focus on arresting the accused.
He said that this was the badlav (change) promised by Congress — an island of peace has been converted in state of anarchy where murders and loots have become a routine.
Chouhan also hit out at government’s loan waiver scheme, saying Congress was manipulating their ‘vachanpatra’ and fooling farmers in name of filling forms of various colours. “Government should have taken loan records from banks and societies in place of carrying out unnecessary exercise which is clearly a waste of time till Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
On senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia paying him a visit, Chouhan said that it was just a courtesy visit during which routine things were discussed.
Reacting to Chouhan’s statement about whether the government was being run by Kamal Nath or Digvijay Singh, home minister Bala Bachan said that a matured and experienced Kamal Nath was doing well as CM and it should not be a matter of concern for Chouhan. He said that the state government was committed to protect the public and again warned BJP to control its workers while referring to killing of BJP leader in Mandsaur
