Sikandar: Salman Khan’s film receives a U/A certificate, makers to trim its runtime 14 minutes | Bollywood News

Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film Sikandar is set to hit the screens on March 30. Ahead of its release, the censor board has cleared the movie with a U/A certificate. While CBFC requested minor modifications, the makers have voluntarily decided to trim the film’s length 14 minutes and 28 seconds.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the initial runtime of Sikandar was 2 hours, 30 minutes, and 8 seconds. However, the final cut now stands at 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 46 seconds, with a total of 26 scenes being altered. Among the changes, a scene featuring the dialogue “Offer aukat ke bahar tha” has been omitted. Additionally, the filmmakers have removed several scenes exceeding one minute in duration, including a 2-minute, 26-second scene, a 1-minute, 12-second scene, and a 4-minute scene. Another sequence, lasting 56 seconds, has also been deleted.

A sequence featuring Salman Khan singing “Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh” has been shortened 11 seconds, while the Holi scene has been trimmed 40 seconds. Additionally, the makers have inserted 7 seconds of Salman’s reaction shots. Other modifications suggested the CBFC include removing the word “Home” from “Home Miner” and blurring all visuals of a political party’s hoardings. With these changes, the film has once again received clearance from the CBFC.

Sikandar is directed AR Murugadoss and produced Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan Films. Other than Rashmika Mandanna and Salman Khan, the film also stars Sharman Joshi, Anjini Dhawan, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj in important roles.
