Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection Day 1 prediction: Aamir Khan starrer to earn around Rs 30 crore | Bollywood News

Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Aamir Khan’s highly-anticipated film Sitaare Zameen Par is set to hit theatres on June 20. Positioned as a spiritual sequel to Aamir’s hit 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, the film is expected to perform well at the ticket window.
In a chat with India Today, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, said, “The box office run (of Aamir Khan) currently depends on word-of-mouth. Since the promotion for the film is very light, now the film’s success depends only on Aamir Khan’s face-value. For the opening weekend, it could be around Rs 30 crore.”
“Since it’s a sequel to Taare Zameen Par, and the 2007 film did really well in its time, I hope Sitaare Zameen Par works well for Aamir. While the film’s numbers won’t go beyond Taare Zameen Par, it should at least touch a success limit unlike his recent movies,” he added.

Aamir Khan has made some bold decisions regarding Sitaare Zameen Par’s theatrical and OTT premiere. In a significant move, the actor-filmmaker has reportedly turned down a Rs 120 crore offer from Amazon Prime Video, choosing instead to give the movie a full theatrical run without rushing a digital premiere. As per a Bollywood Hungama report, Aamir has also requested exhibitors not to begin shows before 11 am. The actor also asked theatres to maintain popular weekend pricing, rather than inflating ticket rates as per the blockbuster pricing technique.

Directed RS Prasanna, the movie also stars Genelia D’Souza and 10 debutant actors – Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshka.
