Australia’s seasoned batter Steve Smith has applauded the Indian pace spearhead for his consency, naming him arguably the best bowler across formats.
“He’s a wonderful bowler, whether I face him with the new ball, slightly older ball, or even the old ball. He’s got great skills with all of them. He’s a great bowler, arguably the best fast bowler across the three formats. It’s always going to be a challenge,” Smith told Star Sports.
Smith and Bumrah are set to lock horns in the much anticipated five-match Test series between India and Australia in the upcoming summer Down Under.
It will be Bumrah’s third Test series in Australia. Over his past two tours, the right-arm quick has 32 wickets over seven Tests and has been part of the squads that won the series on both occasions.
