‘Surya hai to mumkin hai’: Virender Sehwag praises Suryakumar Yadav after his maiden IPL ton

Former India opener Virender Sehwag, who tormented the bowlers with his explosive batting performances, has high praise for World T20 No 1 batter Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar Yadav’s masterful maiden IPL hundred set up Mumbai Indians’ 27-run win over the high-flying Gujarat Titans on Friday. Yadav remained unbeaten on 103 off 49 balls, featuring 11 fours and six sixes.
“Surya has not only dazzled Wankhede with his batting but has also enhanced the prestige of this tournament,” Sehwag told Star Sports.

“The way GT players praised Surya, was a sight to behold. This is the epitome of the greatness of this batsman.
“Now, we can say with full confidence that ‘Surya Hai To Mumkin Hai’.”
Sehwag said that Suryakumar Yadav possesses the quality to durb the rhythm of bowlers with his 360-degree hitting’s.

“Surya is playing with fielders of fine leg and square leg. He has a very good sweep shot in his batting repertoire,” he said.
“In doing so, Surya spoiled the rhythm of GT’s spinners and strengthened his team,” he added.
Even after its fourth defeat, Gujarat still topped the table and was favorite to qualify for the playoffs with two games in hand. Mumbai rose to third.
