Systematic distribution of fertilizers needed: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is no shortage of fertilizers in the State. What is needed is that the distribution of fertilizers to the farmers should be done systematically. Chouhan reviewed the fertilizers with the officials of Agriculture, Cooperative, MARKFED and related departments at his residence today.

Chouhan said that there should not come complaint of any kind in the arrangement of distribution of fertilizers. Strict action will be taken against the concerned in case of negligence and complaint. Under no circumstances will they be spared. Failure to do so can result in a prison sentence. Chouhan said that black marketing of fertilizers should not happen during offline sale of fertilizers. fertilizers should be available to the farmers without any hassle. Ensure proper distribution of fertilizers by coordinating with the collectors of the districts.

The Chief Minister instructed the collectors of Morena and Bhind districts to maintain the fertilizer distribution system and solve the problems. Chouhan said that allocation of 2.12 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer has been approved for the state in the month of October. Adequate quantity of fertilizer is available, for which complaints of irregularities in distribution should not come to the fore. He said that the availability of fertilizer should be publicized in a good way.

Chouhan said that NPK fertilizer is also as effective as DAP fertilizer. Its distribution to the farmers should also be ensured properly.

Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture and Cooperation Ajit Kesari, Commissioner Agriculture Production Shailendra Singh, MD Markfed P. Narhari, Director Agriculture Preeti Maithil Nayak and other officers were present in the meeting.
