Actor Bob Deol took to Instagram on Thursday to mark a special milestone in his family, his parents, veteran star Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur, are celebrating their 71st wedding anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, he shared a rare, unseen photograph of the couple, capturing a smiling Dharmendra alongside his first wife, both adorned in celebratory garlands. In a heartfelt caption, Bob wrote, “Happy anniversary Maa and Papa,” accompanied several red-heart emojis, offering a tender glimpse into the family’s enduring bond. Among the many heartfelt comments, one was from Bob’s elder brother, Sunny Deol.

For those unfamiliar with the Deol family hory, Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur got married in 1954, when the actor was just 19. The couple has four children, sons Sunny and Bob Deol, and daughters Ajeeta and Vijeta. Years later, in 1970, Dharmendra famously met actress Hema Malini on the sets of Tum Haseen Main Jawaan. Their on-screen chemry quickly translated into a real-life romance, though their union faced significant resance from Hema’s family. Despite the challenges, the couple eventually married in 1980 and went on to have two daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol.
On the professional front, Dharmendra was most recently seen in the romantic sci-fi drama Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. He is also set to appear in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming war drama Ikkis, which features Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, in the lead role. Meanwhile, Bob Deol, who made a brief appearance in Housefull 5, is gearing up for a packed slate. He will next be seen in the ensemble comedy Welcome to the Jungle and in Alpha, the latest addition to Yash Raj Films’ spy universe. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles.
