‘All for 2 plates of momos’ Triptii Dimri’s intense workout session is dedicated to her favourite cheat meal | Fitness News

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal (2023) starring Ranbir Kapoor went on to become a monster hit. What the movie also did was elevate Triptii Dimri – an actor who was celebrated for her performances in movies like Qala (2022), Bulbbul (2020), and Laila Majnu (2018) – to the status of “National crush”.
Now, Dimri is not just turning heads for her work in movies, she’s setting serious fitness goals too. Her recent workout video showed her doing a smart mix of exercises that focus on flexibility, endurance, and core strength. “When you realise it’s all for 2 plates of momos,” she captioned the video, adding that “this was not in the fitness plan.”
Personal trainer Deepika Sharma told that the exercises showcased in the video are plank backward walk with ball pull, weighted butterfly stretch and frog jumps, along with a balanced split.

Here’s a brief overview of how these exercises impact health, and why you should add them to your daily fitness routine:
1. Plank backward walk with ball pull
“Start in a plank with a rubber ball in front. As you walk your feet back, you pull the ball toward you with your hands. This move fires up your core, shoulders, and coordination. It’s sneaky hard—because you’re moving under tension while staying stable,” said Sharma.
Chandrashekar Gajawelli, fitness expert at Cult, said that this move also activates stabilising muscles and improves control under fatigue.

2. Weighted butterfly stretch
Sharma recommended sitting with feet together and knees out in butterfly position, holding light weights in both hands. “It opens up your hips and inner thighs, while the added weights engage your upper body and keep the stretch active—not lazy,” she said.
“ incorporating dumbbells, she adds an upper body challenge while increasing hip mobility. It’s a great way to improve posture, flexibility, and blood flow in the groin region,” said Shekhar.Story continues below this ad
3. Frog jumps
“From a wide squat, launch yourself forward like a frog, land, and repeat,” said Sharma. This one’s all legs and lungs, great for explosive power, agility, and building lower body strength while getting your heart rate up. “It fires up the quads, glutes, and core while improving cardiovascular endurance and agility – a high-intensity full-body burner that demands coordination and power,” said Shekhar.

4. Balanced Split:
Holding the doorframe, Triptii does a controlled front split, focusing on lengthening the hamstrings and improving hip flexibility. Supported stretches like this help prevent injuries and boost lower body mobility.
According to both experts, Triptii’s workout is a brilliant example of functional training, blending strength, mobility, and explosive power. “Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, incorporating a few of these exercises can add depth to your training routine while enhancing flexibility and core control,” said Shekhar.
