This video of an unassuming ‘stick’ has an incredible surprise at the end | Trending

Nature is beautiful. Often the different videos shared on the Internet perfectly showcase that. Just like the videos that show the incredible camouflaging skills of the different creatures. Case in point, this video that initially shows an unassuming stick that turns out to be something different.IFS officer Parveen Kaswan posted the video on Twitter. “The unbelievable camouflage. This is their own defence mechanism,” he wrote while sharing the video. The wonderful clip opens to show someone holding a stick. Within moments, they start gently poking at a part of the stick. At first it seems like they are trying to take out the outer skin of the stick. However, it soon turns out that the part is actually a stick insect.Take a look at the video that may make your jaw drop:

The video was posted a few hours ago. Since being shared, the clip has accumulated close to 2.8 lakh views and the numbers are only increasing. Additionally, the video has received more than 14,000 likes.The IFS officer also shared a few more images in the Twitter thread to show the incredible camouflaging skills of the other animals and birds.“In nature camouflage is an important defense mechanism. Many species do that. Look at this woodpecker. Rufous woodpecker is found in India. He looks like a wood only,” he tweeted along with an image.Here’s what he posted:

“This is Common mime pupa. It just looks like a wooden piece. At this stage the creature has no defense system from birds & other insects, so it relies on deception. It camouflages & stays low. It pays, soon the pupa will become a beautiful & colourful butterfly,” he tweeted. “Look at this snake which is just like a stick. Clicked me on a random walk on the forest floor. This snake is called a Mock Viper. Mildly venomous. See how good it is in camouflaging,” he also added.Take a look at the tweets:
