Kohli’s Delhi teammate Shivam Sharma revealed what Kohli had told the security guys after the invaders were nabbed on Saturday afternoon.
“It is just Virat bhaiya’s craze that this happened. It shouldn’t have happened. Someone could have come in carrying anything. Virat bhaiya said to security that ‘kisi ko maarna mat’ (Don’t beat up anyone),” Delhi off-spinner Shivam Sharma said on the incident.
While Kohli was dismissed for just six runs in the first innings of the match against Railways, there will not be a second innings for the star batter because Delhi secured victory an innings and 19 runs.
On Saturday, the DDCA (Delhi and Dricts Cricket Association) also had to close the Bishan Bedi Stand, which was open for public on the first two days. PTI said that this was done after around 500 fans stood perilously close to the grill separating the stand and the dressing room where Kohli was sitting after being dismissed for six runs off 15 balls.
