On a wild deadline day, Arsenal have made one of the big moves on Deadline Day, bringing in Raheem Sterling on a season-long loan from Chelsea.English Premier League clubs again flexed their financial muscles spending about $2.6 billion in the summer transfer window that closed Friday for Europe’s five big domestic leagues.

Raheem Sterling joins Arsenal

The England international scored eight goals and provided four asss in 31 Premier League appearances last season.
Manchester United bolsters midfield
Manchester United signed Uruguay defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain for an initial 50 million euros ($55.7 million).

Manchester United had earlier signed striker Joshua Zirkzee, center backs Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt, and full back Noussair Mazraoui. The 23-year-old Ugarte looks set to be the long-term replacement for Casemiro.
Crystal Palace sign Eddie Nketiah
Crystal Palace had a busy Friday spending that Michael Olise money. The club added striker Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal for a fee reported to be $39 million.

Nketiah is returning to south London after scoring 38 goals in 168 appearances for Arsenal, averaging a goal just under every 180 minutes. He scored his first Premier League hat-trick last season, against Sheffield United.
Leicester snap up Edouard
With Nketiah joining Palace, striker Odsonne Edouard has left the Eagles and moved to Leicester City on loan, subject to Premier League approval.
The 26-year-old Frenchman has made 95 Premier League appearances since joining Palace in 2021, scoring 18 goals.
Ivan Toney joins Al-Ahli
The Saudi Pro League’s window remains open for a few more days — enough time for more deals like the one announced early Saturday that will see striker Ivan Toney join Al-Ahli. The Saudi club agreed to pay Brentford a transfer fee reported to be $52 million.

Toney scored 72 goals in 141 appearances for the Bees, helping them win promotion to the Premier League in 2021.
Reiss Nelson moves on loan to Fulham
Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson has joined Fulham on a season-long loan. The 24-year-old has made 50 Premier League appearances for Arsenal, scoring four goals and providing two asss. He’ll join his former Arsenal team-mate Emile Smith Rowe at Craven Cottage.
Armando Broja joins Everton on loan
Everton have signed Chelsea forward Armando Broja on loan. The 22-year-old arrives on a season-long deal, with an option to make the move permanent next summer.
Aaron Ramsdale signs for Southampton
Southampton have signed goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal on a four-year deal. Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour — are headed to Napoli. McTominay joined on a fee of $33 million from Man United, where the midfielder had been since he was five. Gilmour arrives from Brighton for a fee of about $20 million.

West Ham sign Spain midfielder Soler
West Ham United have signed Spain international midfielder Carlos Soler on loan from Paris Saint-Germain for the rest of the season.
James Ward-Prowse heads to Nottingham Forest on loan
Midfielder James Ward-Prowse has moved from West Ham United to Nottingham Forest on loan for the rest of the season. The 29-year-old dead-ball special made 37 Premier League appearances for West Ham last campaign, regering seven goals and seven asss.
Nottingham Forest sign Morato from Benfica
Nottingham Forest have strengthened their defence signing Morato from Benfica, with the Brazilian signing a five-year-deal. Morato, who can play as a left-back or in central defence, made 86 appearances for Benfica and won the Primeira Liga title in 2022/23.
Southampton signs pair of wingers
Ryan Fraser has rejoined Saints, signing a two-year contract as a free agent after helping the club win promotion during a season-long loan spell last campaign. Southampton have also brought in Maxwel Cornet on loan from West Ham.

Brentford sign  left-back from Southampton
Brentford have signed 18-year-old left-back Jayden Meghoma from Southampton on a four-year contract, with the Bees having an option to extend the deal another two years.
Aston Villa signs young defender
Aston Villa have signed Colombia Under-20 defender Yeimar Mosquera from Orsomarso, and he will immediately join Real Union on loan.
Neal Maupay leaves Everton
Everton forward Neal Maupay has joined Olympique de Marseille on loan for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign, with the French club having an obligation to buy him at the end of the season.

Brighton winger Jeremy Sarmiento has joined Burnley on loan. The Ecuador international has made 15 Premier League appearances for the Seagulls and spent last season on loan with Ipswich Town, helping them win promotion.
