A self-proclaimed fitness enthusiast, Malaika Arora’s love for yoga is well-documented through her social media profile. Time and again, she has shared glimpses of her inspiring workouts, and it was no different this when she was seen stretching her muscles to reduce her love handles and get well-defined abs.

1. Runner’s Lunge (Low Lunge): This is a front hip flexor stretch with back leg engagement. It is useful for opening tight areas that pull the body forward and strengthen the glutes and quads.
2. Knee to Elbow (from plank position) These targets your obliques and rectus abdominis and spikes your heart rate while activating hips
3. Downward Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana): This pose strengthens the hamstrings, calves, shoulder, spine, arm, shoulders, and core (especially when you hold the pose actively). It is great for people with stiff hips, back, or shoulders; athletes looking for active recovery; or desk zombies who need life pumped into their limbs.

“Doing these three exercises combines stretching, strength, and stamina and is a workout for your heart, lungs, and muscles. These are foundational and deep exercises that restore the balance in overtrained or sedentary bodies,” said Sharma. If you wish to move better, look taller, and feel light, get started on these and then build your routine.Story continues below this ad
