The United States will impose a 100 per cent tariff on all films made outside the country, President Donald Trump said on Monday.
Trump, writing on Truth Social, said: “Our movie making business has been stolen from the United States of America, other countries, just like stealing candy from a ba.”

The President had first threatened such tariffs in May, but at that time he did not explain how they would be applied, leaving film industry executives uncertain about what to expect, Reuters reported.
Shares of Netflix were down 1.4 per cent in pre-market trading, while Warner Bros Discovery fell 0.6 per cent, according to Reuters.
