US President Donald Trump’s health officials are preparing to link coronavirus vaccines to the deaths of 25 children as they consider narrowing which Americans should be eligible for the shots, the Washington Post reported on Friday, citing four people familiar with the matter.
According to the report, the findings appear to be based on information from the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, which contains unverified submissions about possible side effects.

Reuters reported that shares of Moderna fell more than 7 per cent after the news, while Pfizer and Novavax dropped nearly 3 per cent. The US Department of Health and Human Services did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In a separate statement, Moderna said regulators in more than 90 countries had found no new concerns about its vaccine in children or pregnant women. “Regulators have not identified any new or undisclosed safety concerns in children or pregnant women,” the company said, according to Reuters.
