US President Donald Trump expressed his disappointment over Russia’s bombing of Ukraine this weekend, saying “I am not happy with Putin,” amid Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s charge of America being “silent” on recent Russian attacks, which is encouraging President Vladimir Putin as Moscow carried out its largest aerial attack on Kyiv.
Trump, while talking to the media at the airport in Morrown, New Jersey as he prepared to return to Washington, said “I don’t know what’s wrong with him. What the hell happened to him? Right? He’s killing a lot of people. I’m not happy about that,” Reuters reported.
Since Putin launched a full scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, this was the first time that Moscow launched 367 drones and missiles – highest in a single night.

At least 12 people, including three children, were killed and dozens were injured in the widespread attack on Ukraine, which came after a heavy shelling on the capital Kyiv, a day earlier.

The US president expressed his unhappiness with Putin over these weekend attacks, as he has been trying to get Russia and Ukraine agree to a ceasefire in the three-year old war and Trump also held talks with Putin for over two hours last week regarding the same.

Trump expressed imposing more sanctions on Russia over its continued attacks on Kyiv. “Always gotten along with him, but he’s sending rockets into cities and killing people, and I don’t like it at all,” Trump said.
Despite international calls to agree to a ceasefire with Ukraine, Putin led Russia is showing no sign of halting its offensive and have been ignoring calls for a ceasefire while intensifying its aerial attack.
