Trump’s advice to Macron after plane shoving video: ‘Make sure the door stays closed!’ | World News

It seems even US President Donald Trump couldn’t res weighing in on a viral moment involving French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte.
Asked a reporter during his Friday press conference in the Oval Office whether he had any world leader-to-world leader marital advice, Trump offered some playful advice: “Make sure the door remains closed.”
The clip that caught everyone’s attention showed Brigitte Macron giving Emmanuel what looked like a firm shove to the face just before they stepped off their plane in Vietnam on Monday. As Macron stood in the doorway of his presidential aircraft, two hands suddenly appeared—one pushing over his mouth, the other cupping his jaw—prompting a brief recoil before he smiled and waved to the cameras below.

Downplaying the incident, Trump further added, “He’s fine too. They’re fine. They’re two really good people—I know them very well.”
Another instant Trump classic🤣
Doocy: “This week there was a video on board a plane that showed the First Lady of France slapping her husband, Emmanuel Macron. Do you have any world leader to world leader marital advice?”

During the same event, Trump praised Elon Musk’s work with the Department of Government Efficiency as the billionaire stepped down. Musk, sporting a black eye, joked, “I wasn’t anywhere near France,” attributing the injury to his young son.
The video of the French first couple quickly went viral earlier this week, sparking headlines, speculation, and even conspiracy theories. But Macron was quick to clear the air on Monday, calling it “just joking” between the couple. Speaking to reporters in Hanoi, he said, “We are squabbling and, rather, joking with my wife. Somehow that becomes a sort of geo-planetary catastrophe. Everyone needs to calm down.”
