Tu Yaa Main teaser: Adarsh Gourav, Shanaya Kapoor join hands for a ‘collab’ in this thriller but a crocodile is stalking them. Watch | Bollywood News

True to form, filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar is once again venturing into unfamiliar territory with his next project, Tu Yaa Main. This time, the director explores the space of a romantic thriller, headlined Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor, the latter in her sophomore feature. The film’s teaser was unveiled on Friday afternoon. Produced Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma under their Colour Yellow banner, Tu Yaa Main appears to be a survival thriller cleverly disguised as a modern romance. While the film is positioned as a love story, early glimpses suggest a far darker and more layered narrative beneath the surface.
The 2-minute-15-second teaser introduces the two protagons as digital content creators from different backgrounds. Shanaya Kapoor plays an influencer known online as Miss Vanity, while Adarsh Gourav essays the role of Aalaa Flowpura from Nalasopara. Their worlds collide through a “collab” driven social media reach, and growing mutual attraction. The teaser captures moments of romance and levity between the two, including a self-aware exchange where Shanaya’s character jokingly questions whether they are genuinely dating or merely hooking up.
However, the tone shifts dramatically when the narrative takes a siner turn. A crocodile emerges as a looming threat, seemingly stalking both characters. The imagery instantly evokes memories of Rakesh Roshan’s cult classic Khoon Bhari Maang. This reference is further reinforced the film’s poster, unveiled alongside the teaser, which depicts the two leads sharing an intimate moment, observed from the perspective of a crocodile lurking beneath the surface.

While the teaser refrains from revealing the film’s exact plot, it strongly hints at Nambiar’s intent to comment on digital culture and social media obsession, possibly using the crocodile as a metaphor for a more insidious force at play. Notably, when Tu Yaa Main was first announced last year, the makers had released a quirky, surreal asset that similarly kept the storyline under wraps. That visual, much like the current teaser, showed the couple enjoying a romantic moment on a beach before Adarsh’s character is suddenly attacked a crocodile.
Tu Yaa Main is scheduled for a Valentine’s week theatrical release on February 13, 2026. The film will face direct box-office competition from Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj’s O Romeo, which also stars Triptii Dimri.
