Turkey severs trade ties, closes airspace for Israel | World News

Turkey has stopped all trade with Israel and closed its airspace for Israeli aircraft, Foreign Miner Hakan Fidan told parliament on Friday.
Speaking during a Gaza-focused session of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Fidan said, as reported state media and cited Khaleej Times: “We have completely cut off our trade with Israel. We do not allow Turkish ships to go to Israeli ports, nor do we allow Israeli aircraft to enter our airspace.”
The announcement comes amid ongoing debates in Ankara over Turkey’s position on the conflict in Gaza.
