Ukraine alleges Russia missile attack on Indian pharma firm’s warehouse | World News
Ukraine on Saturday accused Russia of ‘deliberately’ targeting Indian businesses after a missile struck the warehouse of Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum in Ukraine, the country’s embassy in India claimed on Saturday.
In a post on X, Ukraine’s embassy alleged that the strike was intentional, stating: “While claiming ‘special friendship’ with India, Moscow deliberately targets Indian businesses — destroying medicines meant for children and the elderly.”

The warehouse, operated Kusum Healthcare, reportedly housed medical supplies critical for humanitarian needs. Kyiv has not yet released details of casualties or damage, but condemned the strike as a violation of international norms.
Russia has not responded to the allegations.
Before Kyiv’s post, Britain’s ambassador to Ukraine Martin Harris reported the assault adding the attack was carried out Russian drones, not a missile.

“This morning Russian drones completely destroyed a major pharmaceuticals warehouse in Kyiv, incinerating stocks of medicines needed the elderly and children. Russia’s campaign of terror against Ukrainian civilians continues,” Martin said in a post on X.
What is Kusum?
As per it’s website, Kusum is a multinational group of pharmaceutical companies employing over 2,000 employees across Ukraine, India, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekan, the Philippines, Myanmar, Mexico, and Kenya. The Kusum Group operates four modern manufacturing facilities—three in India and one in Ukraine—along with two in-house research centres.
