US’ Pentagon Mall shut amid several fights, police officer injured, 3 detained | World News

Multiple fights broke out at Pentagon City Mall in the United States on Saturday night which eventually led to the closure of the shopping mall, the Arlington County Police Department said.
Police said they received multiple reports of fighting in the Pentagon Mall at 11:00 on S. Hayes Street. Police, in a statement said that three juveniles were detained related to the incident.
A preliminary police report, quoted ABC News, stated that a police officer received minor injuries and a guard was wounded in the fight.

A Washington Post report quoted a video which went viral on social media where heavy movement in and around the Pentagon Mall’s food court can be seen as police officers struggled with members of an unruly crowd.
The Arlington Police, in a post on X informed “Police responded to the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street for the report of multiple fights in the area. At the direction of ACPD, the mall is now closed. Police remain on scene. Please avoid the area.”
