A purported video reportedly shows a man tackling and disarming one of the attackers during a deadly shooting at Bondi Beach in Australia’s Sydney as the shooting took place on Sunday, 14 December 2025, at Sydney’s popular Bondi Beach during a Hanukkah celebration. Police said the attack appeared to target the city’s Jewish community.
At least 12 people were killed, and 29 others were injured. Two suspects were involved: one was shot dead at the scene, and the other is in custody in critical condition. Police have not released further details about the attackers’ identities. Authorities declared the incident a terror attack, citing the timing, the weapons used, and other circumstances.
