Ranveer Singh film to enter Rs 600 cr club worldwide today

Its collection grew even further during its second weekend, taking its Indian net numbers to Rs 379 crore. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, this takes the film into the top 10 l of Hindi films when considering domestic net numbers. The Ranveer Singh starrer has earned Rs 588 crore globally and will enter Rs 600 crore club today.
The occupancy rates of the film averaged out at 42.35%, as it closed out day 11 of its theatrical run with Rs 29 crore in the bag. The morning and afternoon shows achieved rates of 21.75% and 40.74%, while the evening and night shows had rates of 51.17% and 55.75%. The film is currently running on all pons and won’t be challenged until the release of James Cameron’s film Avatar: Fire and Ash, which releases on December 19.Story continues below this ad

This is quite the personal victory for Ranveer Singh, as these numbers make Dhurandhar the most successful film in domestic numbers. The second is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, in which Ranveer was joined Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. The rest of the stellar cast of Dhurandhar is also reaping the benefits, as it has become a career high for almost all of them when it comes to box office collections.
The film is also dominating the theatres beyond the Indian border. Its worldwide collection has now grown to Rs 588 crore, which means it has overtaken the hit of the summer, Saiyaara, directed Mohit Suri. Its collection for day 12 is already showing positive signs, as the film has made Rs 2.89 crore just noon. The evening and night shows are bound to bring in higher numbers, and the collection for the day could end up being close to Rs 20 crore.
