Viraj Ghelani shares Shah Rukh Khan’s feedback on his Jawan audition: ‘Iss bacche ke expressions acche hai’ | Bollywood News

Social media influencer-actor Viraj Ghelani has had an interesting journey in films, having collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry. Recently, on SCREEN’s Dear Me, Viraj spoke about his experience of working on Shah Rukh Khan‘s Jawan. During the interaction, the social media influencer shared that he understood why his scenes had to be cut from the Atlee film. Viraj also clarified that his comment about ‘having the worst experience of working with SRK on Jawan’ was misinterpreted.
Viraj said, “I had auditioned for the Jawan, and Mukesh Chhaabra had told me that SRK will see the take. SRK always sees little aspects of the film, and he is very precise with his films. I gave the screen test on Saturday night, and on Sunday, I was excited that SRK was going to see my take. Suddenly, I got a yes from them, and Mukesh told me that SRK said, “Iss bacche ke expressions acche hai, isko lo (This boy has good expressions, let us take him).”

While he never met Shah Rukh Khan, Viraj Ghelani revealed that he was on cloud nine while shooting for the film. He shared, “I was on cloud nine. They told me we were going to shoot the next day. I never met SRK during the filming. I had a scene with SRK where we were talking, but both were separate cuts.”
Viraj also opened up about the entire controversy around Jawan, where he reportedly said that he had the ‘worst experience’ working on the film. He said, “There were a lot of articles floating around with my name. I never entertained these articles because I didn’t do anything. I felt bad that my scenes were cut from the film, but it was not like, ‘Why did they cut my scenes out?’ For the film, the scenes were not important. I had said that I didn’t enjoy that my scenes were cut out from the film, but I understood their decision as a producer. It was a fight between emotions and logic. But people perceived as Viraj did not enjoy working with SRK. More than my friends and I, my mother was worried and asked me what ‘panga’ I had taken with SRK.”
“It happens that news people use a big name to get views at times. I didn’t say anything wrong, it was just misinterpreted. My close friends had told me that they would not see Jawan because my scenes were cut from the film, but it was not like it was a bad film, or that they had anything against SRK. People just blew it out of proportion,” Viraj added.
During the interview, which was shot at Bandra’s cafe Donna Deli, Viraj Ghelani also spoke about his friendship with Vicky Kaushal and his upcoming live shows.
