Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma visit Premanand Ji Maharaj at Vrindavan

Indian cricket team talisman Virat Kohli and Bollywood star Anushka Sharma made a visit to Vrindavan Dham with their kids — Vamika and Akaay — in tow to pay their respects to spiritual guru Premanand Ji Maharaj.
A video of the visit and the conversation between Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma with Premanand Ji Maharaj has now gone viral on social media. This is reportedly the second time that Virat Kohli and Anushka have visited Premanand, having done so in January 2023.
Virat and Anushka have been Premanand’s long-term disciples and were seen conversing with the guru.
In the video, Anushka Sharma can be heard saying: “Pichli baar jab hum aaye the toh mann mein kuch sawaal the, mujhe laga ke poochungi lekin jo bhi baitha tha wahan pe unn sabne kuch na kuch vaisa sawaal kar liya tha. (Last time we had come, I had a few questions in mind I wanted to ask. But everyone else who was there was asking similar questions.)”
Anushka adds: “When we were thinking of visiting you again, I’d been having a conversation with you in my mind.”

Kohli smiles through this conversation.
Later, Premanand praises Kohli for the role he plays in society.
“When he plays cricket, it gives the whole country happiness. When he wins a game for India, the whole country bursts crackers,” Premanand says before adding: “Kya yeh inki sadhana nahi hai? (Isn’t this his spiritual practice?) Even if it just a sport, but when he wins the whole country gets happy.”
Premanand compares Kohli’s role as a cricketer to his own life as a spiritual guru and says: “Seva woh bhi hai, aur seva yeh bhi hai (Both acts are in service of a higher power). God has given him ‘khel seva’. ”

Kohli has been undergoing a rough patch in cricket. He ended the five-Test tour of Australia having scored just 190 runs in nine innings.
Talking about how to endure failure, Premanand said: “You have to keep remembering God and stay committed. It’s difficult. It’s a big thing for someone to smile and endure when faced with failure.”
Premanand also praised Kohli and Anushka for turning towards faith even when there is plenty of success. “These two are really brave to turn towards faith when the universe is giving so much recognition.”
