Virat Kohli scores 29th Test century in 500th international match for India
Virat Kohli brought up his 29th Test century on the second day of the second Test against the West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval. Kohli reached the milestone with a slick boundary off Shannon Gabriel with India at 314-4. Kohli reached the milestone on his 500th international appearance and his 111th Test.
He was eventually dismissed for 121 after a run-out with India at 341-5. This is only the third time in his Test career that Kohli has been run out.
This was Kohli’s first international century overseas since 2018. His last ton in overseas Tests came in December 2018 when India was on tour in Australia.
The batter now has 76 tons for India across all formats.

After walking into bat when India were 153 for 2 on Thursday, the batter had come to within 13 runs of his century overnight at stumps with India rallying from a rocky afternoon session to reach 288-4 against West Indies.
Kolhi also moved to 10th on the l of combined appearances in the three formats, which another India great Sachin Tendulkar tops with 664.

Kohli brought up his 30th Test 50 with a boundary against left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican (1-55). Ravindra Jadeja (48 not out) was with Kohli at the crease for the fifth wicket.
India dominated the opening session at Queen’s Park Oval, going to lunch at 121-0 in 26 overs, before West Indies hit back with four wickets in the afternoon. India was pinned back at 182-4 at tea after almost 51 overs.
