Virat Kohli’s wicket on my debut T20I would have made it memorable: Naseem Shah

Pakan speedster Naseem Shah has said that be it Indian or other batters across the world they struggle against the left-arm pacers because of the inswing.
“Left-arm pacers with good inswing will trouble any batsmen of the world. India have struggled against the likes of Wahab (Riaz), Junaid (Khan), (Mohammad) Amir and Shaheen (Afridi). Not only the Indians, but batsmen from other countries also had issues against the left-arm quick,” Naseem Shah told ARY News in an interview.
Making his T20I debut against India in Dubai last year during the Asia Cup, Naseem rattled India and almost won the game for Pakan.

KL Rahul hung his bat out at a skidding thunderbolt outside off to drag it back onto his stumps. He then nipped one back into Virat Kohli before cleverly dangling one full and well outside off – Kohli’s nemesis in the last year and a half – and nearly had his man but Fakhar Zaman at the second slip clanged a difficult chance. He then hurried both Kohli and Rohit Sharma. He returned later to take out Suryakumar Yadav with a fast straight one that rushed past the attempted big hit to knock out the off-pole.
“Debut that too against India. It was so loud that I was unable to hear what Babar bhai was telling me in my ears.

“I bowled one in-swinger to Virat Kohli, then an outswinger, the outside edge was dropped. If that catch would have taken my debut would have been so memorable,” he recollected.
Naseem is geared up to play in the 50-over World Cup in India, and he said his only aim is to win the trophy for Pakan.

“My only aim is to play cricket in India. I will go there for cricket, and I don’t have any other aim. I just want Pakan to win the World Cup,” he said.
Talking about his Test match debut at Brisbane, Naseem said the hype around him made him a bit anxious.

“There was hype around me before my debut. Hype is a double-edged sword; if things go according to your plan, then it is fine; otherwise, it can cost you a lot.
“For someone like me, who has never watched an International game and was making his debut. The pressure was different,” he said.
