Watch Aleem Dar get hit shots, evade hits, bowl, try to tackle a player

Umpire Aleem Dar has always been one of the quirkier match officials out there with his on field antics raising a chuckle from the fans as well as the players alike.
On Saturday, the Pakan Cricket YouTube channel released a compilation of some of the most famous antics of the former ICC’s Elite panel with a video titled “Aleem Dar, A Larger Than Life Cricket Celebrity!”
The video started with Dar on the receiving end of a throw from Pakan’s Mohammad Wasim Jr’s which hit him on the right ankle during the second ODI between Pakan and New Zealand in Karachi in January. Shah would come and massage the right leg of Dar while he got sprayed on his leg.

It also had Dar evading a number of shots hit from the batters towards him in different matches, both internationals and Pakan Super League (PSL). It even has one in which he got hit a scorcher on the thigh.
There was also an incident where he playfully tried to tackle Shahnawaz Dahani from celebrating a wicket, using his feet to pick up a ball from the ground and also exchanging his umpire’s hat with a batter’s helmet.
The video also showcased Dar rolling his arms in the nets but missing the wickets a mile.
In March, Dar stepped down from ICC’s Elite Panel after officiating in 435 international matches. Dar, who was on the panel since its inception in the year 2002, has officiated in more Tests and ODIs than any other umpire and is second in T20Is.
