Watch: Carlos Alcaraz’s bend a free kick like Roberto Carlos, well almost | Tennis News

Carlos Alcaraz is one of the favorites to win the US Open 2023. The young Spaniard had a breakout year in 2022 and is also the current world No. 1.
Alcaraz is a dynamic player, who is capable of winning matches in a variety of ways. Recently he also showed off his football skills when he nailed a perfect free kick like Roberto Carlos on the tennis court.
Roberto Carlos is widely regarded as one of the greatest free kick takers of all time. He was known for his ability to bend the ball in ways that seemed impossible, and he scored some truly iconic goals from free kicks.
And Alcaraz also did bend the ball almost akin to the Brazilian great or some may Criano Ronaldo.

Alcaraz is considered as the next big thing. He is the winner of the 2022 U.S. Open, who grabbed his second Grand Slam title last month at Wimbledon beating Novak Djokovic.
The Spaniard will need to be at his best if he wants to win the US Open. He will need to serve well, hit his forehands with power and precision, and be aggressive from the baseline and if he can do that, he will be very difficult to beat.
Alcaraz has a favorable draw and should be able to make it to the final. However, he will need to be at his best to beat Djokovic.
Djokovic said facing Alcaraz reminded him of taking on Nadal in their primes — which was quite some time ago.
“Boy, you never give up, man. Jesus Chr,” Djokovic said, drawing a laugh from Alcaraz. Most Read

“I mean, I love that about you, but sometimes I wish that you’d maybe play a few points just like this, you know?” Djokovic continued, waving his right hand without purpose.
Alcaraz offered nice words, too.
“I learned a lot,” he told Djokovic, “from a champion like you.”
Alcaraz is a rising star in tennis and he is one of the most exciting players to watch. He has the potential to win multiple Grand Slam titles and he could be the next great champion.
