Watch: Cricketer throws bat, kicks gloves and helmet after being run out at the non-striker end

Claremont’s Jarrod Kaye was furious after being run out at the non-striker’s end bowler Harry Booth, as New Norfolk went on to win the Southern Cricket Association First Grade final 49 runs.
The run-out occurred during the second innings of the match.
Following the incident, tempers erupted after the umpire raised the finger. Kaye tossed his bat in the air in anger before doing the same with his gloves and helmet. While walking back to the pavilion, he can be seen sharing some angry words towards the umpire and the bowling team.

Batting first, New Norfolk posted 263 for 7 in 50 overs. Vice-captain Harry Booth (63) and Jason Rig (67) scored half-centuries, but it was Thomas Briscoe’s unbeaten 22-ball 37 that provided the final flourish to the New Norfolk’s innings.
For Claremont CC, Trent Graham (3/40) was the pick of the bowlers. He was ably supported Matthew Carr (2/32).

In reply, Claremont were bowled out for 214 runs. At one stage, they were reeling at 83 for 6 before Jarrod Kaye (43) and Rick martin (70) put together a valuable 48-run stand for the seventh wicket. Kaye was being run put at the non-striker end Booth, and it ended Claremont’s hope to win the match.
For New Norfolk, Jeremy Nichols (4/32), Thomas Briscoe (3/43), Jamie Maddox (1/22) and Nathan Rice (1/41) shared the spoils.
