‘Quite meditative’: Triptii Dimri on childhood beauty memories, DIY face packs and her bedtime skincare rituals | Lifestyle News

“I remember stealing it once from her purse. She doesn’t know it yet,” admitted Triptii Dimri in conversation with Vogue India. As part of a candid chat for their Beautyscope segment, the Animal actor spilled the beans on her well-kept beauty secrets, favourite fragrances and no-gos when it comes to experimenting with fashion.
Her memory of the first scent associated with childhood happens to be that of crayons and erasers. When it comes to the first product she swiped from her mother or aunty to try, Dimri revealed that her aunt was a huge fan of eyeliners and she remembers nicking it from her purse. Dimri also shared that her guilty pleasure snack includes noodles, which she can “have everyday”.
What’s one beauty advice she always comes back to?
The Laila Majnu star finds herself reaching out for home remedies to solve her beauty concerns. “I’m always experimenting with different face packs. I mostly mix sandalwood with rose water and a little bit of honey that works like magic on my skin,” she revealed.
Dr Shareefa Chause, Dermatolog, Dr Shareefa Skincare clinic, Mumbai told that home remedies can be tricky business if you have sensitive or acne prone skin. “Trying any DIY tips or home remedies is not advisable and can worsen acne flareups. It is always a good idea to consult a dermatolog to understand your skin’s concerns and follow a dedicated skincare routine tailored to your skin’s needs,” she stated, adding that one should not blindly follow celebrity advice or random posts or forwards on social media, and only trust a doctor’s recommendations.

Inside her beauty vanity essentials
The skincare routine she follows just before hitting the bed is “quite meditative”. Dimri shared that it includes applying a lot of face masks, especially sheet masks. When it comes to beauty hacks, she picked up on applying lipstick as a blush from her mother, and her go-to look for when she has only 10 minutes to get ready includes a “smudged kajal, tinted lips and messy hair”.
During the rapid fire round, she revealed that she loves glitter lipsticks, sheet masks but “not the overnight ones”, is a fan of hair perfumes, face oils and fake freckles. She would also love to give LED face masks a shot. However, bleached eyebrows and salmon sperm facials do not find a space in her beauty routine.
