CSK on their Twitter handle posted the picture of Dhoni giving a gives a high five to Gowtham’s daughter and captioned the post – “A Cute #Yellovely reunion 💛🤗”.
Gowtham before joining LSG last season was brought the yellow army for a whooping sum of 9.25 Crores in the IPL 2021 auction.
However, the all-rounder could not get much game time there.

Since his move to LSG, he has been getting regular opportunities on the field. The 34-year-old after having a good game against Delhi Capitals struggled on Monday both with the bat and ball. In a solitary, over he bowled he gave away 20 runs and with the bat coming late down the order remained unbeaten on 17 chasing a mammoth total of 218 runs and struggled to clear the fence in the cameo.
LSG captain KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bowl first. Batting first, CSK was off to a flyer with a superb knock from the classy Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kiwi opener Devon Conway, setting up the platform for CSK to post a big total. Gaikwad toyed with the LSG bowlers and made batting look easy. His exit slowed things down, but late cameos from Rayudu and Dhoni powered CSK to 217/7 in 20 overs.
In reply, LSG was off to a blering start with KL Rahul and Kayel Mayers. The West Indian smashed a 21-ball 50 to set Lucknow on track to chase the total. However, LSG kept losing wickets at regular intervals, and that proved to be their undoing. Moeen Ali starred with the ball picking up four wickets as Chennai Super Kings defeated Lucknow Super Giants 12 runs.
